Bart is known for his winning mentality and his drive for success. Within 5 years he evolved from a starting business professional into the Managing Director of the Amsterdam Office of the global organization Mediaplanet. As a result of successfully mastering 4 different functions in a young and ambitious commercial organization Bart built a broad experience in the most important business processes. That makes him deployable in many positions and disciplines: within marketing and sales management functions as well as in the role of a manager and/or team member of new business activities and start-up companies.

Sports are an important part of Bart’s life. As a baseball player he represented several national (youth) teams and participated in international tournaments on a European and global level. He is also very active as fitness practitioner and passionately interested in issues of health, lifestyle and nutrition. His experience in the sport industry developed Bart into a true goalgetter and a strong team-player.

2010 – 2015

Media Planet is a worldwide media company specialized in distributing and hosting niche content marketing platforms (approx. Rev. 60 M USD, 450 employees). Mediaplanet collaborates with the world’s biggest newspapers and media sites (In the Netherlands I.e. Google, De Telegraaf, Het Financieele Dagblad, Facebook & Twitter) to distributed the niche content platforms/campaigns. Since 2010 Mediaplanet works with a complete cross-medial strategy, combining both print, digital and online video.

July 2014 – September 2015
RESPONSIBLE FOR the daily operations and management of the Amsterdam office (40 employees and 5-6 M rev.).
AIM & TASKS business development, people management and controlling the partner & client relations. During this period I was responsible for stabilizing Amsterdam into a strong and profitable office of 35-40 employees. During a period where the Dutch market declined, the Amsterdam office developed into a serious mediapartner, improving the quality of the product and successfully further redefined our digital strategy. Direct reporting to the CEO of Mediaplanet.

December 2012 – June 2014
RESPONSIBLE FOR the entire salesdepartement and daily operations of Mediaplanet Amsterdam office, leading 3-4 teams (20 employees and controlled P&L of 5 M).
AIM & TASKS design and manage the sales-strategy, leading 3-4 projectmanagement teams and control & develop the profitability of the Amsterdam office. During this periode we over performed twice the budget by more than 10% and I succesfully coordinated the implementation of the new digital product and strategy.

February 2011 – November 2012
RESPONSIBLE FOR managing 5 projectmanagers and reaching the quarterly target with a self-owned budget of 400K-500K in revenue.
AIM & TASKS coach, train and lead a team of 5 projectmanagers. Next to running a team I was able to successfully control a set of key-accounts and I was responsible for spotting and analyzing commercial opportunities (trend-& marktanalyses, setting up new partnerships). I ran the best performing team of the Dutch office during this period (over performed budget 4 out of 6 quarters)

July 2010 – January 2011
RESPONSIBLE FOR publishing a +/- 20 page theme supplement (6 – 8 week cycle). Record: € 220.000,- (in 7 weeks for 1 single campaign).

I was born and raised in the small village of “Den Dungen” near ’s-Hertogenbosch, in a family of two hard working parents and one older brother (Financial consultant Finext). Working hard, discipline and being humble were important aspects of our education. From when we where 10 years old, my brother and I have always been active in sport (baseball and now fitness). We were fortunate enough having supporting parents who helped us to reach our full potential. Solidarity, new impulses and striving for maximum results are important to me. I believe this will drive you out of your comfort zone and push you further in life.

Sports (fitness, baseball, skiing, surfing) are my passion, being healthy and having a fit mind will keep you alert and helps you to walk through life with high energy.

Work needs to be done with passion, energy and strong companionship. These are the things I am looking for in my next challenge.
